In ancient Greece, the Gallic poet Romantix (Stéphane Rousseau) has fallen in love with the Greek princess Irina (Vanessa Hessler). Enchanted by his rhymes, Irina eagerly awaits Romantix's arrival to marry him.
Irina's father, King Aderlas (Bouli Lanners), however, plans to marry his daughter to Caesar's adopted son Brutus (Benoît Poelvoorde).
At his daughter's request, he agrees to marry her to the winner of the Olympic Games.
Asterix (Clovis Cornillac), Obelix (Gérard Depardieu), Getafix (Jean-Pierre Cassel), Troubadix (Franck Dubosc) and Dogmatix travel to Greece to help their friend Romantix win the Olympic Games.
