We show the movies in their original language, mostly english. Additionally we activate english subtitles.

Should the provided medium not offer english subtitles or OV-Audio, we'll decide separately which language will be played.

More than 600 DVDs and Blu-Rays that have been showed in the AStA-Kino over the years are ready to be borrowed. The movies are found in the department library of the social sciences. Borrowing is free of charge and a loan period of two weeks applies. The loan period may not be extended.

For recently over 40 years the AStA-Kino has showed all kinds of movies. During the semester we usually show a movie every wednesday at 8 PM. In case of special dates (like friday the 13th) or during cooperations there may be presentations on different dates. Join us and enjoy our hand picked movies. By the way: if you can't make it to one of our movies, don't worry, you can just pick up the Blu-Ray at the library the next semester.

Route Description:

Choose the suitable bus or find your way to the university by any other means. Follow the orange path on our map all the way to building 1. On the left you'll find a side entrance (the door should be open and you should see a guidesign. Left again should be stairs that lead you one story upstairs where you should be standing right infront of our beautiful AStA-Kino!
