Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) is actually a normal teenager who always has problems living up to his father's expectations.
To distract himself from his worries, Miles spends time with his uncle Aaron Davis (Mahershala Ali), who sprays graffiti with him. During one such outing, Miles is bitten by a radioactive spider in an abandoned subway station, which gives him powers similar to Spider-Man.
Shortly after, Miles gets involved in a fight between the real Spider-Man (Jake Johnson), Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) and his followers, which kills Spider-Man and leaves Miles to do his job.
But is Miles even up to the task?
